Bridges in Dreams

Bridges connect what would otherwise be separate, so in dreams they often symbolize transition, trust, and the crossing from one phase of life to another. Their state tends to shape the feeling of the dream: a sturdy bridge may reflect readiness, while a swaying or broken one can echo fear about a major change.

A collapsing bridge is a vivid image. It may reflect a sense of instability, a relationship or plan that feels less dependable than expected, or the fear of being unable to return to where you started.

Crossing at dawn, in fog, or above rushing water each colors the passage differently. Fog may suggest uncertainty, water may point toward emotion running beneath the surface.
